Jimi Thang

Date Added: January 15, 2008

MP3 Description:

JOSH SHOWDOWN ENTRY. 2nd of five takes, all improv. Gibson SG faded, Boss ME-50, Fender Blues Junior. The weird sound at the end, in the ascending run, is because my e-string got caught under the side of the pickup (no covers). I kinda like it. I know I'm a little out of tune and the timing is a bit funky, but it is what it is.

Jimi Thang is smoking!!! To this day I still can't believe Hendrix was only an one hit wonder on the charts. We're people too stoned back then? Love & Peace! Rich Love

i'm liking this song, and the tone is great. The progressions are perfect.

Wow. This one kicks ass Robert. Great licks and enviable tone. This tune, in my opinion, makes you the most entertaining artist I've heard on this site. We're not worthy. It's got soul.

I had to go a 10th round of this tasty jam. I wish you had video, I would like to see your approach as well as hear it. In the context of the contest, SHRED, the jam was so short, there wasn't really time to add any of the spaces... that I bagged on ya' about, at first, I'm sorry I used so much space, in the alloted time now, but I was on a blues purist trip. For an all out shredder from A to Z this is the Shazit. Loud on my mains, it ROCKS!
