Roosevelt Jenkins sells his bottled sweat out of the trunk of his car....

Even at only three songs, Roosevelt Jenkins‘ self-titled CD showcases the band’s ability to blend various genres into an original sound. “Feeling Like Alaska” has a reggae beat, fun backing vocals, and solid bass playing. Soaring vocals augment the well-crafted “We’ll Go In Alone,” and the band takes a hard rock approach on “Welcome To The Nothing.” – Terrence Flamm(Illinois Entertainer)

Hello, I definitely prefer the direction of Feeling Like Alaska over Welcome to the Nothing, but these directions are so different - they land you in entirely different genres, it seems. But screw it - you guys would be better off without a genre, though you may find it harder to move upward. What concerns me the most is you guys have a sounds that reminds me of local bands trying to shoot straight to the majors. You can write catchy parts, but be careful to not exploit them too much, and don't leave other parts of the song lagging behind. I truly hate your band photos! Ha ha, I can say that cuz I have taken countless, similar band photos over the years. Good luck-

I prefer your more raucous material over the more spare arrangements. I get a real Incubus vibe from your songs. But I have to admit, this is not really my cup of beer.

I just want to thank all of my friends for their constant support and love throughout the past few months. I'm so glad I joined this site and am so thankful for all of the wonderful people i've met here. I wanted to take a second to wish everyone the best of luck in this last week of the Spin Pursuit and tell everyone who makes the finals not to take it for granted. There are 476 people who would kill for the spot you will have and I hope you know how talented and loved you are to be able to make it there. For those who don't win or make the finals, never give up. I know i won't. Cherish the relationships you've developed throughout this ride and consider yourself lucky to have done so. There will be other opportunities for you. As for the winner, I will be behind you 100% and wish you the best throughout your career as I will be following it. I truly love everyone that I have been blessed to meet on this site and you are all very dear to me. So once again, good luck, God bless, and i hope we have a great finish to this thing!

Cloak and Jagger joke on a folk for hire...
Genre bending splendor, engender the choir...
    Richochet ballet for a matinee...
Don't mount your poultry before they lay...

Strange, to reach into the beyond...
And pull out unknowing, like a glowing wand...
Where I wave it, words may sprout...
Tis true, I've no clue, what I'm strewing about...

    See yourself...

Hey how are you guys doing, I just happened to see a comment you left on someone else's page. Long time no speak! Since we last talked a lot has happened in my career. I am now a radio personality for 99.3 the Joynt and I am the number one female artist on imeem.com as well as still a top ten most popular person on the site. I have not really been advertising I am in the contest this year though but I am going to make the top 500 so I guess I will start once we get to the head to head player :) Much love, are you going to the taste and all that this year? I am supposed to be interviewed by a Chicago area web site while I am there.
