Rule of Thumb is an east coast influenced three piece hardcore band with a belief that hardcore is for everyone who has an open mind. Our music has no needless filler, there are no solos or pointless catchy hooks. Only straight ahead, in your face hardcore with brutal breakdowns and honest lyrics. Our current lineup has been together since Jan 06. We play regularly in the Vegas bar scene and are trying to break into the all ages scene here. We tour through the west and the south when we can afford to. We believe good friends and good music and good whiskey can unite everyone.

I just want to thank all of my friends for their constant support and love throughout the past few months. I'm so glad I joined this site and am so thankful for all of the wonderful people i've met here. I wanted to take a second to wish everyone the best of luck in this last week of the Spin Pursuit and tell everyone who makes the finals not to take it for granted. There are 476 people who would kill for the spot you will have and I hope you know how talented and loved you are to be able to make it there. For those who don't win or make the finals, never give up. I know i won't. Cherish the relationships you've developed throughout this ride and consider yourself lucky to have done so.
