What's up Sean? I haven't been around much lately, but I finally put the tune up (B-17) that features the Maestro "balls" Phasor. Come on by.
How's that recording coming along?
Hey Sean, I don't think a 2 12 is too big, if you like the sound of it and can get the sound you like at a reasonable volume. Be sure to point the mic at the widest part of the speaker paper, not at the center of the speaker, not further than a couple of inches away. Also a little reverb and analog delay helps give it some openness, simulating the sound of a room. I'd suggest that recording direct too, especially w/ distortion. Experiment a bit with those ideas, and let me know.
Hey Sean, wondering how the amp micing thing is going. If you need some common tips let me know.
Put up more new stuff, including an old version (1992?) of Red House I dug up from the depths. Drop by if you get a chance.
Hope all is well, RRT
You've got a real good ear , I can see it in your playing , as well in the way you write your critiques.
You're a smart kid ~ and a real pleasure to have hanging around here !
Hey Sean, came by and heard The Pity, left a comment. I put up 4 new tunes and a blog that explains them a little. 3 Jazz tunes (page 2), one guitar extravaganza called Breathe. Drop in if you get a chance...
