Yeah! Reminds a lot of Alice in Chains actually :D You need to work on the volume levels on the tracks, get it smoother. With just an hours editing this song would get a lot better.

I do some guitar repair work and a few months ago I had an Epi Les Paul and some 4 or 5 THOUSAND dollar Gibson Les Paul to set up, and seriously, I couldn't put the Epi down. I took some pictures of the Gibson, but I PLAYED the Epi, and enjoyed every second of it.

Since the low end guitar market has become so competitive, the EPI/Pauls, sound and play great to me; I have several of them. I got into the Gibsons, so the dick heads that come up to you after a gig and say, "that was great man, now get a real guitar," would shut up (STFU), its the player, not the gear. Also the line 6 stuff has come a long way. I use the PODXT Live, which is totally revamped from the old plastic round thing, in every way. The XT Live gets me great sounds, really fast and easy. How do I interface Gearbox with it? -Keep writing as originals, will take you further, than covers will, faster. Great first effort, I would lay your leads back a tad in the mix and let the drums come out a bit more, but a quick mix is what it is... just to demonstrate the idea. But do, be VERY sure to catalog your ideas like this one to CD/DVD. I have over 5000 originals, archived to DVD. After a few years, you can be more objective and see more easily, what is really cool (From your own efforts) and what isn't so great. Also when shopping for a deal, when you can spring 1000 cuts/ideas to draw from on the A&R guy, after he shows interest in a 4 song set, its a real selling point. BTW, you can't copyright a progression, a copyright is defined by the melody and lyrics... start singing, even if its horrid at first, you'll find your vocal pocket! - Keep Jamming man. Good Job!
balls PS; The lemon song is one of my favorite songs to jam on, extended style.

That is a very cool first tune, and I bet you'll be playing it for a long long time. I still jam on my first one.

Yeah I'd have to say this shows an amazing amount of potential for your very 1st original song .
Do you intend to add lyrics & vocals at some future time ? 5 Stars !!!!!
