This is The Official Page of SirVerse R&B Singer of Toledo, OH Surrounded by music since he was a small child, the twenty-two year old singer, songwriter and composer, SirVerse has been blessed with an old soul. This Ohio bred songwriter and vocalist has a deep appreciation for the harmonic foundations that includes gospel, R&B, Hip-Hop and Jazz. "I did my first solo when I was thirteen years old," SirVerse remembers. Currently putting the finishing touches on his second soulful and romantic album, an artistic exploration that fuses SirVerse’s diverse musical interest into a wonderland, the young artist couldn't be more pleased. "I realize that I'm new to the music world, but I've been preparing for this moment for long time." Even before signing and partnering up with Frank Wright C.E.O of their independent Flip N Flex Record label in 2003, and ultimately working his way up to president, the multi-talented soul star had toured with more established artists like Bobby Valentino, T Pain, Danity Kane and Tyrese. Several promoters have heard about the young entertainer's stage performance and offered him many gigs to being an opening act for our major national recording artists. Working hard in the studio on a daily basis writing, producing songs and recording demos, SirVerse finished three albums worth of material before even trying to get signed. "I've been creating songs since I was fourteen, so I knew I needed the right musical blend in order to stand-out from the many other performers trying to get a deal." While not hung-up on genre labels, SirVerse says, " I'm excited about finding my place amongst young composers like Donell Jones & Ne-Yo. My goal from the moment was to partner up as president with Frank Wright the founder of Flip N Flex and create a seamless album(s) that mixes soul and pop in a way that will have people coming back to again and again.” Having grown-up in the streets of Toledo, Ohio - SirVerse didn't spend much time planted in front of the television. "Growing up all I did was cut hair, help my mother take care of my bothers and sisters, stay in my room and listened to music and sometimes ran the streets with friends that were gang affiliates." SirVerse says. "It wasn't like I was cut off from the world, but there just wasn't a lot of media influence in my life during those early years." SirVerse has always been true to himself. "I don't feel as though I was the typical deacon's kid, because I was taught early on to speak my mind and not be afraid to think," SirVerse says. "To me, that is one of things that helped keep me focused as an artist who is trying to do something different in music." SirVerse is all about giving back and is a community-based artist. SirVerse has dreams and goals of helping create more after school programs in the inner city, and more faith based community programs. While watching many of our young people fail in the system SirVerse feels that there is another way and the key to all this is prevention, and SirVerse has devoted most of his time trying to help the best way he can. Recently, SirVerse preformed his single “Feelin Like Ooh” at Blaze The Stage in New York, which was ran by the staff of the BET Networks, December 27,2007. SirVerse is keeping busy with doing shows, across the country. SirVerse has put out two mixtapes called “SirVerse Mixtape Volumes 1 & 2” and has dropped one album, which is titled “BODIMUZIK” and is now working on his second album. SirVerse will be featured on BET’s 106 & Park- Wild Out Wednesday segment on March 12th 2008, you can all tune in at 6pm. (Check your local Listing)

Today's selection is a bit more demanding as this is a 9 minute piece that is a bit off the beat & path ~ even for someone as wacky as I ~ and features lyrics that might seem a bit off color too some ~ but in keeping with my spirit of always attempting to challenge our listeners to try something they might not normally hear ~ my contest selection of the day is called" 1 suse#2w_vox.mp3 " ~ enjoy !

In honor of our undying love for you and the art that springs from your creative genius:
    We present you with this cologne drenched Monday vote. Now take this gift and spread the love! Most Sincerely, NYDV (The band that definitely loves you the most, but in a somewhat arbitrary way.) And please show some extra love to some of our friends: http://musicnation.com/music/ydwood http://musicnation.com/music/johnnybravo http://musicnation.com/music/pedestrianx http://musicnation.com/music/the7thpenguin http://musicnation.com/music/vulinqua http://musicnation.com/music/elephants http://musicnation.com/music/prophetsix http://musicnation.com/music/roberttiernan http://musicnation.com/music/hedreamsawake http://musicnation.com/music/wwwunsignedbandwebcommusicsylvanlan http://musicnation.com/music/brainbell http://musicnation.com/music/detour http://musicnation.com/music/vein http://musicnation.com/music/johnny500 http://musicnation.com/music/cookiecuttergirl http://musicnation.com/music/christyjones http://musicnation.com/music/acmusic http://musicnation.com/music/justinewilde http://musicnation.com/music/pmc http://musicnation.com/music/danik http://musicnation.com/music/thealtruistic http://musicnation.com/music/kemmittsmith http://musicnation.com/music/lovesexndeath http://musicnation.com/music/knomedude18 http://musicnation.com/music/davidwheeler http://musicnation.com/music/bcspring http://musicnation.com/music/acousticphases http://musicnation.com/music/markalandooley http://musicnation.com/music/jarahlette http://musicnation.com/music/theplasticduo http://musicnation.com/music/poppermost http://musicnation.com/music/toddduffley http://musicnation.com/music/evaeva http://musicnation.com/music/mgmuzicman http://musicnation.com/music/miuma http://musicnation.com/music/randy9856 http://musicnation.com/music/rickfrost http://musicnation.com/music/eddieblack1 http://musicnation.com/music/morphinecarnival http://musicnation.com/music/wwwmoikonetworkningcomgarysparks http://musicnation.com/music/wwwnonecom http://musicnation.com/music/solarmagic http://musicnation.com/music/lasantiago http://musicnation.com/music/homesickmarkus http://musicnation.com/music/leron08nupain http://musicnation.com/music/chicagosaints http://musicnation.com/music/indianabonez http://musicnation.com/music/dabyrdlady http://musicnation.com/music/kimmclean http://musicnation.com/music/thethicket http://musicnation.com/music/justinmayhugh http://musicnation.com/music/steelroad http://musicnation.com/music/cfuproductions http://musicnation.com/music/dusekannon http://musicnation.com/music/rickysparks http://musicnation.com/user/lsdshell http://musicnation.com/music/wildbillaustin http://musicnation.com/music/pravda http://musicnation.com/music/thinair http://musicnation.com/music/radiochemist http://musicnation.com/music/avalonparade http://musicnation.com/music/rosendomusic http://musicnation.com/user/ghostneworleans (These are just the ones that left comments yesterday, don't feel left out)

Here's your arbitrary Sunday vote to commemorate the arbitrary extension of the qualifying round!(ok it wasn't arbitrary it was a typo)
Love, The band who arbitrarily loves you the most! (more than your daddy) Since we have a few extra days, look for someone above 500 rank that you think should make it to the head-to-head. We've seen acts move hundreds of ranks in just a couple of days! Send some love and you will get it back!

    ~> VOTE <~ ~SATURDAY~
~LSD~ Wow, I had no idea that this was the last day of this phase of the competition. A SPECIAL CONGRATS TO AARON CHARLES "SINGLE FATHER" FOR HIS 1st PLACE IN THE 1st PHASE OF THIS COMPETITION. TALK ABOUT LAST MINUTE GAME WIN! LOL. GOOD JOB BRO! YOU DESERVE IT. I don't know how everything works, but I suspect not as many comments for all of us. So I guess I'll say thank you to everyone for your continuous love & support for each other. I've learned a great deal so far. My only regret right now, is that I didn't think of doing the salutes earlier, as I still have a long list of artists here. But hey, this isn't the last competition here on MN, and I will continue to spread the love whenever I can, to whoever is willing to read what I have to say, and I will continue with that ever growing list when it's gonna be seen by many, like in this contest. I truly apologize to those who I didn't get to plug, due to the miscalculation on my part. I'm not gonna say good luck, because luck has nothing to do with it. What I will say is..........KICK FUCKING ASS PEEPS! You have all amazed me, and made this my favorite community site! I LOVE YOU 4 EVER!!!! SALUTED: Rick Frost: "Dogs in the Moonlight" http://musicnation.com/music/rickfrost/dogs-in-the-moonlight (Hella awesome song, and a Hella awesome musician. You'll love this from the get go. Blending acoustic rhythms with Tasty electric guitar leads, and great Vox (vocals) like Alice in Chains and Led Zeppelin (Gods), Rick gives you a glimpse of his life experiences and views on his world. And a quite melodic world. I promise. I became an instant fan.) Killed by Design: "Get out alive" http://musicnation.com/music/killedbydesign/get-out-alive (These guys fucking floored me. Great hooks, great sound, hard rock, and an amazing vocalist. The singer was very reminiscent of Bono from U2. If I was an A&R Rep for a record company, I would sign them immediately!) Fade Philosophy: "Into the sky" http://musicnation.com/music/fadephilosophy/into-the-sky (These guys way wowed me. An incredible mix of electronic, ambient, rock, metal, etc. Very different. But the coolest part, is that they can separate those different genres in one song. So instead of Industrial because of the mix of electro and rock, you'd have to say rock and electro. Hard to explain. All I know, is that in the intro, I though it was gonna be more ambient, but when it really started, it was rock, the surprised me again with a heavier chorus. This is another one that I would have signed immediately. I guess there's a lot of bands here that I feel that way about. But these guys are the absolute deal!) Morphine Carnival: "Over the Hills" http://musicnation.com/music/morphinecarnival/over-the-hills (Morphine Carnival is all Zach Jacoby. A very unique and interesting style of acoustical rock. He has a cool eccentric style to his tunes. If I had to explain or compare, I would say it was a cross between Janes Addiction and Violent Femmes, but with mostly just an acoustic guitar and vocals. If you wanna hear something different sounding in the acoustic genre, def pay Carnival MNorphine a visit.) SOLARMAGIC: "Areons Meet Star Gazers" http://musicnation.com/music/solarmagic/areons-meet-star-gazers (With a blend of different instruments, sounds, and moods, there are no words that can truly truly describe this ambient space music. But no words are needed, as this instrumental will in fact make you understand the story told here, with your ears and soul. As it says in the bio, "Some artists like to paint canvasses. I like to paint music", Solarmagic's music def paints a picture in your mind, brilliantly in High Definition!) The Advisors: "Illusion" http://musicnation.com/music/afiallo/illusion (The Advisors, is all Bert Fiallo. This music is very well written, with hooky riffs and smooth vox. It has a U-2ish almost 80's feel, but with a more live instrument sound which successfully keeps it from being dated. And I don't mean "keeps from being dated" in a bad way. I feel that's what most artists want, especially when having a song in a retro style. You wanna bring it up to date, or ultimately make it timeless, and he does both. What impresses me most though, is that he does what I wish that I could do. He makes it sound as though more than one person is playing, with different styles or feels in each track/instrument. I would like to be "Advised" by Bert.) AND A SPECIAL ALOHA & MAHALO TO THESE TALENTS THAT I'VE GOTTEN TO KNOW A TAD BIT: NEW YORK DISCO VILLAINS* POPPERMOST* BEN VANDAGRIF* THE ONE NEEDERS* PEDESTRIAN X* CRY TO THE BLIND* AVALON PARADE* PMC* ACOUSTIC PHASES* CHRISTY JONES* JUSTINE WILDE* NIKA* DUSE KANNON* MIUMA* GARY SPARKS* RICKY SPARKS* RICHARD BERNSTEIN* WILD BILL AUSTIN* HOINH* BRAVO* ROBERT TIERNAN (God)* DETOUR* RICK FROST* MARK ALAN DOOLEY* POP DOLLS* AC* MARK HOLMAN* WORMAJOR* AARON CHARLES* and of course.....JUGGERNAUT! I'm sorry if I missed you. I'm tryin to rush so that I can get my final votes in! A very VERY special thank you to my dearest friend and promo goddess, Michelle aka LSD's Shell and to her familia! Yes, you too "TheGurl"!! YOU ALL FUCKING RULE!!! ~One Love~ ☆Love Sex n Death☆ Small plug for me. Check out this snippet of my newest recording. It's a cover of EMF's "Unbelievable". Still need a lot of work, as it is only the 2nd day of working on it, but I would like your take on what I have so far. Here's the link. http://musicnation.com/music/lovesexndeath/unbelievable-cover-snippet ThanxXx again!!!!!

This has been one of the best experiences we have had in the thirteen years we've played together (multiple bands). This is one of the best communities of any kind on the internet. We are so appreciative of all the support and love you all have shown us. Our hope is that the best talent takes this contest. That will be a tough one considering the wealth of talent and styles represented here.
Truly we are just happy to be a part of the community, the rest has been icing on the cake. And believe us, rank at this stage don't mean a thing. Our friendships here mean more to us than what has passed and what may come. With that, we wish you all the best of luck, we are pulling for everyone. It's going to be hard to vote for one act over the another, so we expect that we'll be pushing the 'equal' button more often than not. We were fortunate to have a live interview on a local radio station Friday night. We sent a big shout out to our MusicNation family. And told the radio audience how great you all are. Of course we told them to vote for us(we aren't stupid!), but we did mention that there is a lot of great music on this site. So who knows, maybe some of us will get some new fans. For those of you who are used to hearing from us almost everyday, we will be busy all day Saturday preparing for our CD release. So please take no offense if you don't hear from us. Please accept this last qualifying round vote as our way of showing you how much we respect and love you. All the best to you, NYDV Maggie (Hoop), Clark (Carlos), Chris (Thor), and Marty (Mappy) oh... (and me, Toby MacSeesall the mastermind!) We ARE the band that loves you most! ;-)
