Born in Bronx NY Lenin grew up listening to all types of music and absorbing his environment and incorporating it into his music. From the time he was young all he cared about was expressing himself through art and music, sometimes skipping school and going to his friends house to practice. In 1989 he started the band Godhead which consisted of himself, Walter Duran and a drum machine. Godhead was very experimental for it's time combining lavish, swellish guitars driving bass lines and groovy drum beats. Influenced by bands like "My Bloody Valentine", "The Cure", "Meat Beat Manifesto" and, of course, a hip hop influence which sprung from growing up in the birthplace of hip hop, the Bronx, NY. He later went on to form the band "Else" which was a very big part of his musical maturity. A lot like Godhead, Else was very experimental but very catchy at the same time. The line up consisted of himself on lead vocals and guitar, Walter Duran on drums and Victor Valcalcel on bass. Though short lived, the NYC based band had a very strong fan base and some great promise. Finally in 2007, Lenin has come out of his musical hibernation to form "mira la Luna" Aka "Lenin Silverio" this consisted of Lenin and his computer at first, which led to vast experimentation in the world of sound. Very influenced by jazz, hip hop and drum'n'bass. Mira la Luna has created some of the most beautiful and complex music heard in a long time. Incorporating all types of styles and instruments. Mira la Luna is exactly what it set out to be , a moment of creation spawned in the mind creating audio landscapes you could never see in real life completely made of sound.
