Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

We are on a gig break for the fall working on pre production of the rest of the Immunized Album, Artwork, College, Highschool etc. We will have a few shows with short notice in Austin and Dallas before December. In December we will finish the Album and have it ready for you in January. Thanks for your support our friends rock!!! We are also planning a tour through the summer to promote "Immunized". -The Social Hazard Support Team- History: Social Hazard was founded in 2003 when guitarist and singer Blake Kincaid met bass player Jared Evans. Together they went through countless names, members, and gigs, before finally discovering drummer Brandon Keebler, the day before a headlining show in which the former drummer had left the band. Chris Bell was later added as the bands rythem guitarist, until he was moved to bass after Jared joined the army. Events: Social Hazard has performed at countless venues, notably including The Aardvark, Fat Daddys Sound Shack, The Shallowater Alliance For Children Benefit Concert at Game Day, Dream World, Stingrays Bar, The Door, The White Room, Club 412, The Curtain Club, Red Blood Club, The Star Lounge, Double Daves, and The Wille Pigg Auditorium. The music video for "I See Faces" recieved 21rst place in the Music Nation video contest, and is now featured on youtube. The band has its own recording studio and practice barn, called Irvin Records. The bands latest recordings were produced at Bass Propulsion Laboratories (BPL) in Dallas, where many bands including Drowing Pool and The Rolling Stones have recorded. The bands first album "Immunized" is in the mixing process and will soon be released along with t-shirts, stickers, and other such accesories. Stage Presance: Social Hazard has the essentials. Flanel shirts, Bathrobes, Houseshoes, and Jared's classic Jack Daniels hat. Then of course there are behind the head guitar solos, the tongue guitar solos, and the strobe light, that makes the drummer look like a noodle. The bands musical complexity limits the amount of movement on stage, which is made up for by dry sarcastic humor. There is no running on stage but the guitars are always in motion. Guitarist Blake Kincaid says "Every musical instrument has it's own personality, and you get to express that on stage. When I pick up the guitar I am using my experiances, and my passion to bring it to life, so that it can say what it has to say" and they always do have alot to say when the sleak Fender Jaguar takes to a solo. The Grunge Sound: Social Hazard has been said to capture the 1990s and give it a 1960s twist. The sound takes the depth of The Screaming Trees and the ambiance of Pearl Jam to combine with the sensibility of Alice in Chains, the creativity of Aerosmith, and the edge of Nirvana, forming an entirely unique song every time they play. The band's original tone developed from a Blues, Beatlesque tone. From raging Punk guitar solos, to flowing folk ballads Social Hazard has it all. The radical song writing could range from the gothic heavyness of Marilyn Manson to the soft spoken Simon and Gafunkel, leaving often unexpected shifts in the bands onstage direction.
