Stacy Jones, famed producer and artist, joined forces with some of the biggest alternative acts of the 1990’s after completing his studies at
Boston’s Berkelee School of Music. He first began playing drums for Letters to Cleo, a band that garnered a great amount of success and credibility, in addition to becoming a regular staple on MTV. After parting ways with Letters to Cleo, Stacy joined as drummer in Veruca Salt, remembered for their massive modern rock hits “Volcano Girls” and "Seether". Stacy eventually left Veruca Salt to start a band of his own, bringing together longtime friends Jamie Arentzen (formerly of Boston's Sky Heroes), Drew Parsons (who played bass for Tracy Bonham) and drummer Brian Nolan (ex-Figdish) to complete the lineup for what would be the gold-certified rock band American Hi-Fi.
Stacy also brought his incisive, seasoned ear for artistry and production to Epic Records as an A&R production executive. He now works fulltime with
partner Bill Lefler as the production duo DeathStar Productions, producing records for The Plain White T’s, Low vs. Diamond, Meg & Dia, Ronnie Day, Towers of London, and The Strays.
His musical abilities have also been tapped for television and film. Most recently he wrote for the Superman Returns soundtrack.
This fall, Stacy will be drumming and serving as musical director for the Hannah Montana tour - one of the most highly anticipated tours of the year.

Congrats to "Rantings of Eva"!!!I also wanna say congrats to everyone in this comp for getting heard and getting the recognition that you all deserve. I know I at times displayed my emotions in ways that was not cool. But it's all in the growing up department, and we all evolved from this.
Just keep keeping it real, and we will once again (soon I hope), be side by side in our quest for success and being HEARD!
