Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

these 4-guys-and-one-girl-band was founded 2002 in nuremberg, germany by joe.b.good/ bass, albi/drums and herr hofer/guitar. at 2004 they were completed by jupp colt/ guitar, lapsteel and mel/accordeon, keys.
their songs are pure instrumental without voices, and they don't need it: the music is like pictures in your head.
moving between the 60's guitar sound of pulp fiction and soft melodies that would perfectly fit to a roadmovie. sutcliffe takes you on a journey to wide deserts and lonesome roads. at the moment you think you know them, they surprise you with sounds like car speed races, space nights or a polish polka. at the moment they work on a new album and plan to find a label.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- gegründet wurde das aus dem grossraum nürnberg stammende quintett 2002 von albi, herrn hofer und joe b. good. 2004 komplettierten jupp colt und mel die heutige besetzung. ihren sound bezeichnen sutcliffe als "instrumentalen kopfkinosoundtrack". das motto ist auch programm: zur musik dieser band bedarf es keinen gesang, vielmehr hält das kopfkino was es verspricht. landschaften und szenen entstehen vor dem inneren auge, verändern sich und nehmen den Zuhörer mit in ein roadmovie zwischen zeitlupen und verfolgungsjagd. durch ihren weiten sound, und der vielschichtigen instrumentierung entwickeln sutcliffe eine komplexe klanglandschaft. klug arrangierte songs gibt es auf ihrer in eigenregie veröffentlichten cd "kopfkino" zu hören. sutcliffe präsentieren sich auf ihrer ersten cd mal countryesk, mal lässig, mal bluesig, aber fast immer mit einer portion 60's gitarrensound. bei ihren liveshows bleibt neben videoprojektionen viel platz für träumereien. als nächstes plant die band, die noch auf labelsuche ist, eine kleine clubtour im süddeutschen raum.
