CHALLENGE Typically relaxation and mediation music is effective at calming and soothing the listener, however, it is often overly generic and predictable. Our challenge lies in taking this selective type of music and expanding its range of uses and appeal while maintaining true to its origins. The idea that a well composed piece is deterring from the spa experience can be shattered by allowing the music to be driven by the following guidelines: 1. Add to the experience as a whole, the music should allow the listener to embrace the treatment more so and create a mood that is relaxing and memorable at the same time. 2. Well composed music is more memorable and has the ability to catapult the listener back to the event where they first experienced the piece. This allows us to use nostalgia to drive people back to the Spas. When the listener hears the track he/she may remember the peace and tranquility which induces a yearning to return. 3. Stylistically there should not be any gaps or climaxes to take the listener out of his/her state of mind. Consistency between all the tracks is a major factor. From end to end, the CD should play as one long piece. Hence, each track is consistent with the next to establish an overall mood and style that is apparent throughout the length of the CD. To accomplish this, it is imperative that the composers have an open line of communication between one another. Freelance music composer will be operating as an independent contractor and as a ghost. All work will be provided to the company on a “work made for hire” basis. REQUIRED SKILLS 1. Knowledge of any of the following recording applications: ProTools, Nuendo, or Logic (If you use an alternate program for music production please note the application name and your skill level). 2. Expertise in: music theory, music composition, and music production. 3. Impeccable taste and an appreciation for the work of the above mentioned artists. 4. Applicants must have solid music composition skill, a highly refined sense of rhythm, melody, and mood, and a strong portfolio of innovative work. COMPENSATION PACKAGE Compensation $1000 for first 6-7 minute track purchased by the company; $2500.00-$3000.00 for each subsequent 7+ minute tracks purchased by the company.

See now... I like the effects in these multi dimensional pieces. I'm not sure if Andreas Vollenweider has any influence on you, but I get the same sense of well being from this piece as I do from his mastery.I like this piece and you describe your intent very well in the liner notes~

Youv'e got some nice mixes in this song, it can be a bit busy as others have said, but all in all, its a great work of art, sometimes busy is good. very moody peice.Nicely done!

after reading the description, i think this piece suits the guidelines very well. constant and non-intrusive, yet memorable and melodically interesting. it's atmospheric and reminds me a bit of what i might hear while watching a fantasy series with flying dragons and drifting clouds, which i think is exactly what a meditative and relaxing spa experience would conjure. great job, ben!The Hourglass Theory says

pay noa tension 2 the naysayers , only because thier ways are not your waysand besides there is no such thing as,,, you you cant do that , where music is concerned.
