Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

Our story begins on Sunday, November 5th, 2006. For it is on this night that a simple letter was written. A letter which had no intention of ever being delivered to anyone in particular but rather to serve as a reminder of a time when life was less like daytime television & more like an inspiring episode of Boy Meets World. A time when missteps were taken in stride and our dreams were within reaching distance. A time everyone seems to remember but no one can seem to reinvent. Over the course of seven months this letter became the inspiration behind the eleven tracks that comprise our debut full-length album, “theLETTER.” From the opening track “Dear________ “ to the final track “Sincerely _______” each track was written in regards to a specific date/time/event in an attempt to “retrace one’s steps” with hopes of finding the answers to two questions: 1) Where along the way did we decide to replace our dreams with the comfort of a “sure thing…”2) How do we go about reviving something that once seemed the reason for breathing in the first place… When we were young, almost all of us were told at some point, “you can do anything you set your mind too.” Unfortunately, as we grow older those who attempt to do so are called crazy/immature/naïve/all of the above for even trying. With the release of “theLETTER” we do not claim to have written & recorded anywhere near the perfect record, instead we hope at most to give those who listen an opportunity to reinvent that time in their own lives when they truly believed they could do anything they set their minds too…
