Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

Todd Keith Maxwell a.k.a. T-MAX was born on November 13th in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Dorchester. He began performing since the age of 8, break dancing, beat boxing, lyric writing and rhyming. He has shared the stage with the likes of Paul Simon, The Dixie Chicks, Livingston Taylor, The Roots, KRS- One, Big Daddy Kane, Public Enemy, Jay-Z, Nas, Foxy Brown, Poor Righteous Teachers, Jeru the Damager, Gang Star, 112, and New Edition just to name a few. He has recorded songs with Pete Rock, Shaggy, D-Quest, Showbiz & A.G. and has written songs for Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch as well as the Atlanta based group Raw Seed. His song "Super Cool Mac Daddy", was featured in the movie "Southie", starring Donnie Wahlberg. T-Max has performed at Foxboro Stadium, Great Woods (Summer Jam), and the Half Shell on the Esplanade as the opening act of major artist. He was also invited to perform (and performed) at the Peace and Unity Festival hosted by HOT 97.7 at the Government Center in Boston, which was sponsored by Mayor Thomas M. Menino; This event attracted over 400,000 people. In 1991 T-MAX was signed to a major recording deal on Polydor Records but later switched to the independent label Damage Records, which was responsible for his most famous song, "Execution Style". His first solo 12" was a success, selling over 11,000 units and made the top 10 on CMJ (College Music Journal) music charts. He received many accolades for such songs as "Fantasy Island", which was reviewed in the Unsigned Hype section of the Source Magazine in 1995. The Souce Magazine compared his style to that of Nas. In 1998 T-Max released the single "Relax Your Mind", selling 6,000 units. In 2003, The Saturday Night Agenda Compilation Album was released, the first single on that album "Queen", featured Pete Rock & A.G., the video was shot in L.A. and is being aired on BET Uncut. T-MAX recorded the soundtrack theme song "What Goes Around Comes Around" for the movie "Turntable" starring Tony Todd. He recently completed his new single "Ooh-La-La", which will be released on his forthcoming album.
