Troy Wykle has entertainment running in his veins. Born in July of 1972, in Gastonia North Carolina, Troy has been performing on stage since he was 8 years old. At 10 years old, his family moved to the Los Angeles area, where Troy's love for being on stage became more and more evident. In 1984, Troy was a Star Search hopeful and worked hard on his stage presentation Troy spent his time with vocal coach Christine Vanderleest and in his schools choir often performing solos in competition She was the person instrumental with giving Troy the correct set of skills to use his talent to it's full potential. In 1988 he was accepted in the prestigious Los Angeles School of the Arts. While living in Los Angeles, he played the Hollywood Circuit for years with his Blues/Rock Band "Squeeze Bye. Which Included his Brother Larry on Lead Guiatr" The band generated a large following with hits such as Renegade Son, Red, Lost and Alone Again. Plagued by Indecision. "Squeeze Bye" played many top venues in Hollywood like the Troubador, Gazarris, and the Whiskey A Go Go. Troy split his time between working as a LAPD police commissioned officer and working as security for many executives and motion picture and television stars at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. Later he worked as a Regional Manager for a couple of security firms but always leaving time for his music. Troy’s passion for Country music brought him to Nashville in April of 2004 when he resigned his job as a Federal Screening Manager at LAX with the USDHS to follow his Country Music Roots. Shortly after arriving, he signed with a Indie Record Label. Now he is currently working on his new CD entitled Drive It Like It's Stolen which was just started up at a renowned Nashville studio with Gold Platinum and Diamond engineer and producer Frank Green who among many other things engineered Garths first cut of "Friends in Low Places" Troy was proud to start the cd along side his band and brothers BlueSteele Which includes James Foglesong 3rd on drums Grandson of Country Music Hall of famer and former Capitol Nashville Pres Jim Foglesong, Robert Russell on Lead Guitar, Tommy Lowe on Rhythm Guitar, and Curt Dean on Bass and special contributions by Mark Wilkerson on keys. The CD is scheduled for release in July 2008. Country music has always been in Troy’s blood. His mother Sharon was ever supportive and nurtured his love of music from a young age. His Grandfather was signed in the 50's Troy used to sit and sing with his grandparents when they would take a break from touring. His Grandfather and Grandmother Claude and Lois St' Jean later went on to become the editors of Country Music Magazine in Canada. They had a Top Ten hit entitled "What Is a Stompin Board." Besides his grandparents, some of Troy's other musical influences include Garth Brooks (his favorite entertainer and a man he had the privilege of singing for at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood) Lynard Skynard, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ray Charles, (Little Feat, First Concert at age 5), Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Lionel Ritchie, Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams (Senior and Junior), Waylon Jennings, and George Strait, among many others. Troy's style is a mixture of touching heartfelt country ballads and hard rocking country standards that gets his audience up on their feet!! His high-energy show is something that you will not ever forget and will leave you wanting to hear more. "Country Music Review" "It's not enough to just sing well, the fans have to feel the story your telling. There's nothing better than looking out on a sea of faces and seeing them get it. I sing because I love to communicate to people. If my songs can help someone rekindle a memory of a lost romance or be a crutch for someone in a difficult time or just give someone a laugh than I have succeeded in my goal." "Stay true to the music and the music will stay true to you." Troy Wykle
