Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

At a very young age, the first music Lisa Maples heard in her ear was country music. From that time on, country music became her passion and will always remain her "roots" with all music. Growing up she remembers being facinated with Tanya Tucker, singing into an unplugged microphone to her music and dreaming of singing country music one day. Lisa found out as a young girl, music was an outlet to release her "inner most" feelings. In elementary school, Lisa was part of the Glee Club and enjoyed it very much. Lisa comes from a family of 5 children and was always in charge of what was playing on the radio. Lisa is the baby of the 5 children, but her twin sister, Lori, is just 4 minutes older. In high school, Lisa and her twin sister, Lori, were very much involved in athletics. Playing volleyball, basketball and softball all 4 years. Lisa and Lori together shared the MVP award, for volleyball, their senior year of high school. Although both being athletic, Lisa has always had a love for singing/music and Lori has always had a love for modeling/acting. Lisa loves to sing around her home town, Lodi, and was also in a musical play with her son, Kyle. Besides loving to sing, Lisa loves to be a mother to her one and only child, Kyle Maples. Kyle has brought her so much love and joy with his accomplishments at a young age and she's very proud to be his mother. The toughest time for Lisa to sing was at her father's funeral. Lisa's father loved to hear her sing and even how tough it was, she was happy to sing a song for him that day.
