    The Truth

Hey everyone, welcome to my temporarily unpretentious journaling/blogging. So far the "one i'd like" vid has been bouncin' 'round the 4, 5, 6 spots, which for me is awesome. I really appreciate the votes, and comments from everyone. Amber and I invested a fair amount of time and even some cash in this project, and are both more than pleased with the results. We also get a great deal of gratification from the willingness of friends and acquaintances to contribute to our little endeavour. Thanks, and thanks again, can't say it enough thanks.

But I digress, truth be told I am no good at blogging, I write fluff that is even light on the EV (entertainment value) scale. So if you care to read some thought provoking blogs of substance, may I suggest:

    http://lincolndavis.blogspot.com/ OR http://www.thecedarroom.org/

Both of these folks can write, lucidly and with direction.

Well that just about wraps it up for now. In closing I would like to leave you with a quote. A quote from one of Green Bay's finest, a Mr. Vince Lombardi. He sat me down after a tough week of contest voting and said, "Joel, It's not about whether you win, or lose but that you have a bad a$$ music vid."

So I was making a little recording, but was also running out of $, like that's ever happened before. Anyways, I decided to sell some things on ebay. Having already finished tracking the Vibes, and with confirmed arrangements to record the piano on a real piano rather than a keyboard the Kruzweil K1000 was sent off to the knackers. As life had it, my attempts to get the p. forte tracked elsewhere didn't fly (Lord bless the fella who tried to help me, but helping me isn't easy or fun, also it just wasn't meant to be.) So I found myself in a jam, it was Sunday night. My friend the keyboard had a 6 p.m. date with fedex. Less than 24 hrs., get that piano tracked. Hmmm, wait, first get it written. As my clumsy fingers banged around the abbreviated 76 key board I struggled to find enjoyment in the noise I was making. {I wonder if you will have similar difficulties, if you do at least we understand each other some.} I think with a few edits and its place in the mix, piano works, but what a day to get it there. If you had been there we could have had a good time of it. I pulled into the parking lot of kinkos and a large, white, breadish truck felt the same way about it all. My cause was championed by a very nice young lady working the counter, and the k1000 was off, hopefully now the charge of a more competent steward.
