Verse 1 There's a place, not so far from Dallas Where the skies are dark at night. Stars come by the billions. They're everywhere in sight. They camp out in the heavens To hear one angel sing. Linda never lets them down. You'll hear her sweet voice ring. Verse 2 She brings great joy to all her fans. She leaves them feeling great. There's no doubt that Linda's heart's As big as the Lone Star State. She cares for those less fortunate, And loves her family. She gives and gives to raise those smiles. She means the world to me. Chorus Linda, you're our East Texas Songbird. I had to let you know. I keep you right here in my heart, And I won't let you go. So, if you're ever lonely, Or just feelin' blue, Allow the love you've given me To come on back to you. Bridge I hope that you have all you ever wanted from this world I think that Heaven should reward its very nicest girl. Break Verse 3 So, when you're in East Texas, Look to the sky at night. You'll hear the sweetest singing And see an awesome sight. Each star, out to forever Will twinkle, gleam and shine, And that's because their Linda Makes the Universe feel fine.
