Based in the Boston area, Walter the Orange Ocean came together in late 2005. Soon after forming as a trio the band entered WeAreListening.com's 2005 International Songwriting Contest and won the Grand Prize, a recording session in London. The quartet self released its debut album "Restless or Sleeping" to critical acclaim in the Boston area. Now a trio employing keyboards, bass, guitars, drums and vocal harmony, the band recently won Firefly Studio's 2007 Battle of the Bands in Boston, and is currently recording a new album.
