I am an ASCAP artist,and an ASCAP publisher member,since 1979..I have not received due credit for some of the things I have done, yet I feel that it shall balance itself out.It is for us my friends all about attempting to create the best art that we can do.We are not attorneys,we are not really concerned with all of that.We hire Attorneys to handle those things.I am not real sure that ASCAP wants to have me as one of their artist and publisher members anymore.BMI is really cool and really fair.Yet they are a private corporation.They service you for a fee and I may add they do a tremendous job! ASCAP also does just as well ad perhaps better because they offer to carry your health insurance.You pay for it,about two yards a month (yardnotes-100 Dollar Bills,Carney Lingo,If you really want to be a cool person adopt a stray cat and name it "Yardnote" Dig how cool I am,the ASCAP puppy... as it were,all the way!!! I would like to see sommething so special happen in the course of this fantastic GAC contest.I have so much enjoyed this contest,a prize fight to the hilt because The United States Of America,this so great and wonderful of a nation,those of you from other places do not fully understand how hard americans have to work.Just Like you we have to labor and produce in order to receive what we need just so we can pay our bills...or make arrangement to pay on them.You would be surprised I think to know just how unselfish Americans can be.And we are portrayed as "the great satan".I know that you would be even more surprised..edit that....astounded to see how hard we work.You may vision that living here is easy street! In the United States Of America, if you are capable of holding down a job you are expected to do so.And you must show up on time for your works.And you shall say "Good morning" to cheer each other up.Even if you do not want to say it and wave when you do it the other person will do it too and if they don't they have a reason.As we say down south "Times is Hard' and they are....We all live together on a planet,Not somebody's empire! We are supposed to care about eachother as much as we care about ourself as best as we can do taking into consideration pesonal circumstance.On rare occaision I wake up a little..er...ahhh...Grumpy...as it were.Ok,I confess I am a (CA) caffine addict. Oh man...bad yet I shall tell you,simply allow me a moment to sip on my coffee,unless it is an emergency situation.And all that we get here is crappy coffee!!!!It turns into a "science Experiment" after 6 and 1/2 on the old "grille" In my career as a "Rock Star" driving across numerous state lines in the course of one day I have been exposed to what I shall call "rocket fuel" coffee..not because it is so good..because it has been "grilled" for endless hours!I am actually drinking 90 weight tranny fluid,small wonder that I smoke cigars too!
