Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

Zay began writing lyrics as a way to express his feelings and emotions. He used rap to cope with the pressure, struggles, and hardships of everyday life. As time progressed, this hobby gradually developed into his passion. He created a buzz in the streets by free-styling and battling, easily destroying his opponents with jaw-dropping punch lines. He then began composing songs, ghost-writing for other artists, and performing. Most noted for his universal sound, natural song-writing ability, and catchy hooks, his versatile flow and witty punch lines are complimented by his smooth delivery and confident swagger. Zay has a fairly large local fan base, in which he is constantly looking to expand. He has opened for and done shows with various artists such as Lil Boosie, Mims, 3rd Flo (The Heizman Boyz), and several other artists. With over 5 independent mix-tapes already under his belt and features on various compilation CDs, he is determined to get his voice heard. He recently invested in a home recording studio, where he taught himself how to record, mix, and master his own tracks. Zay has completed his demo and is now searching for a major record deal.
