I've been fighting it for years, but ol'Red is starting to give serious thought to becoming a snow bird and hauling my butt down to florida for the winter months. nyc is my home, but this cold is bad on the joints.

I wonder if the Chevy song competition will bring more blues and folk to the site. It seems like anybody could write a song about driving, because everyone has fond memories from road trips, camping, dates, and benders that all start with finding some wheels to get you around.
I remember my old band had a tour song that we sang in the van late at night to stay awake that we always wanted to write music to but never actually recorded anything.
at any rate, can't wait to see the entries.

i need your help in easing my mind so i can sleep. it might be my allergies, or the changing of the season, but i haven't been sleeping well.
i walked a good distance today--from china town to the old world trade center and then across the brooklyn bridge--and even though my legs are tired I still can't rest.
do your ol'pal Red a favor and send me your address if you make mellow music.
